Hemp: Good for the skin, better for the soul. At Parson Brown, that’s more than a nifty slogan. We’re big believers in the power of hemp, a plant rich in the cannabinoid CBD.
The orange is a symbol of good health and has been a staple crop of the Sunshine State for more than 450 years. In fact, we take our name from a sweet orange first developed here in 1856. With orange groves surrounding our hemp farm, we were inspired to put fragrant citrus oils in all our CBD skincare products.
Learn MoreBecause of CBD’s powerful anti-inflammatory and anxiety-fighting properties, CBD is a natural partner for a happier, healthier, more balanced you. Our customers report smoother, more supple skin. Topical application methods well-suited for skincare include CBD bath salts (who doesn’t love a good soak with a therapeutic bonus?) and CBD body cream for luxurious, full-body moisturizing.
But the benefits of CBD in skincare go even deeper. By working in tandem with one of the body’s largest regulatory systems, the endocannabinoid system or ECS, CBD is able to impart its benefits through the network of receptors present in the skin. Studies suggest that its anti-inflammatory powers might help address symptoms of various skin disorders such as acne, eczema, and psoriasis.
All of Parson Brown’s CBD products are made with full-spectrum CBD. But what is full-spectrum CBD skincare? Simply put, there are several different ways that CBD can be extracted from the hemp plant, and full-spectrum means that the extract is made with the whole plant. We think nature got it right the first time, so we use the full-spectrum CBD to formulate our exceptional CBD luxury skincare products.
As research indicates, CBD’s beneficial effects are enhanced when they interact with terpenes—the aromatic oils found in hemp and countless other plants—as well as with other cannabinoids. Our products include pinene and limonene.
Then there’s the hemp plant itself. On top of providing CBD, hemp’s seeds, fibers, and oil have all played important roles in human history. In fact, in the early days of the American colonies, farmers were actually required to grow it! Aside from being an essential crop for American settlers, hemp’s use in textiles dates back six millenia, and it was widely grown across Europe before making its way here.
Hemp is a regenerative crop, which means that it benefits not only the land it’s planted on, but the surrounding environment as well. It’s a humble plant that sustains the earth, feeds and clothes us, and provides the crucial ingredient for the best CBD skincare products. It’s no secret why those in the know love this ancient and miraculous plant.
We’re proud of our hemp plants and the exceptional CBD skincare products we make from them. Speaking of plants, we couldn’t let you forget the citrus part of the equation. As we hinted earlier, citrus is a big part of the Parson Brown story. That’s why our products contain citrus-derived botanicals such as bergamot—a sour but fragrant orange fruit with the potential to lift our spirits—and neroli, a bitter orange that’s renowned for its soothing effects—which may even help protect against acne breakouts and skin irritation. And, of course, Florida oranges.
Picture yourself in a peaceful orange grove next time you’re soaking in our bath salts or lathering on some cream. Now that’s luxury.
We’ve taken care to develop our CBD products mindfully, using nothing but high-quality ingredients that deliver a reliable and consistent CBD experience with every use. The enticing and delicious scents and flavors of Florida citrus engage the senses, particularly for topical application.
We’re dedicated to crafting sustainable, functional, and beautiful hemp-derived products, and to engender the sustainable and respectful business practices we know are good for our customers, our employees, and ultimately our planet. We invite you to try them out for yourself.
How Much CBD Do I Use On My Skin?
All instructions for recommended applications are clearly indicated on our packaging. With topicals, you can apply liberally, but know that a little bit can go a long way. After rubbing into your skin, wait a while to see whether you’d like to experience more effects.
